How to Sell Here

Selling your goods or services at San Jose Flea Market is very easy:

  1. Arrive before 8 a.m. with your goods.
  2. Drive through the vendor booth. Show your ID and we’ll assign you a space and show you where it is on the map.
  3. Go to your space and set up. Most people like to bring a table and a tarp.
  4. Pack up and prepare to leave before the market closes at dusk.

Tips for success:

  • Offer paper or reusable bags for your customers to use.
  • Bring plenty of extra change since the ATMs only dispense $20s.
  • Be willing to negotiate, you will sell more.
  • If you rent a space for both Saturday and Sunday you can leave your things on the space. Make certain the area is protected from the weather and that your items are reasonably secured.
  • If you want to plan ahead, you can reserve a space up to a week in advance at our Reservation Booth.

The San Jose Flea Market is open Wednesday- Sunday from dawn to dusk, with the exception of a few holidays.

Daily Selling Spaces

Daily selling spaces are approximately 17’ x 20’ (340 Square Feet).

Daily Rates:

  • Daily rental spaces only
  • No reservations, first come, first served.
  • Offer good until December 2012 


  • Weekend spaces may be reserved up to one week in advance.
  • All advance reservations must be made in person at the Reservation Booth.
  • Rent must be paid in cash at time of reservation.
  • There is a $10.00, per space, per day reservation fee for all advance weekend reservations.

Reservation Booth Hours of Operation

Saturday: 8:30 A.M. – 3:00 P.M.
Sunday: 8:30 A.M. – 3:00 P.M.

Monthly Reservations

Buildings and certain open spaces are also available for monthly rental.

Monthly spaces become available the first Saturday of every month at 10:00 A.M. Priority consideration is given to vendors with unique, seasonal, or different merchandise. Please inquire at the Reservation Booth for more information.

Rental Requirements:

Vendors who sell at The San Jose Flea Market more than three times a year are required by law to have and present a valid California Resale Permit. All monthly vendors are required to present a valid California Resale Permit. For more information contact:

  • Metal Buildings: 14' x 20' (280 sq. ft.)
  • Container Buildings: 20' x 20' = 8' x 20' (storage) + 12' x 20' (display)
  • Farmers Market Buildings: 17' x 20' (340 sq. ft.)
  •  5 Day Open Spaces there is an additional tarp/storage fee of $100 per space

  • Sellers must be set up on their space before 8:00 A.M. or the space will be resold.
